Parochial Church Council (PCC)
  • Assist the Incumbent as he/she may request in all the work of the church
  • Manage the local financial affairs of the church, in accordance with the provisions of the Regulations of the Diocese;
  • Have oversight of the key administrative areas of operation and substantive committees of the Church;
  • Maintain an adequate register of membership, electors, subscribers and other records of the Church
  • Ensure the proper management, maintenance and administration of all property under the Church’s responsibility
  • Promote festival celebrations and other mission critical events
Finance Committee
  • Advise the PCC on financial matters including the development of policies and rules;
  • Report on the financial affairs of the parish as the PCC may require, but at least on a quarterly basis
  • Prepare and present a budget for the ensuing year to the PCC for approval at its December/end of year meeting
  • Support the PCC’s financial management objectives by preparing and documenting transactions;
  • Oversee the work of the Fundraising Committee
  • Maintain close liaison and working relationship with the Internal Audit Committee  
The Fund Raising Committee
  • Advise the PCC on ways and means to meet the Financial needs of the church;
  • Plan, implement and co-ordinate all fund-raising activities undertaken by the church;
  • Facilitate and give support to all organisations engaged in fund-raising activities
  • Provide reports to PCC via the Finance Committee concerning fundraising projects and activities
Internal Audit Committee
  • Examine and verify the financial information which will be provided to the congregation, and the systems of internal controls which have been established by the PCC, in keeping with acceptable standards and accounting procedures.
Property Management and Development Committee
  • Advise the PCC on the condition of all property under its responsibility;
  • Provide for the ongoing maintenance of the church facilities;
  • Supervise any developmental programme being undertaken by the church;
  • Give an account to the PCC of the programme of works undertaken by the Church as requested, but at least quarterly.

Stewardship Committee
  • Monitor and give advice on the general administration of the church and the upkeep of its faculties and grounds
  • Assist the Churchwardens in the execution of their responsibilities as may be requested from time to time
  • Manage all the support services and equipment procured for the benefit of the membership
  • Report to the PCC via the Property Management and Development Committee as requested        
  • Maintain the lawns and grounds;
  • Upkeep the Gardens ;            
  • Provide office services by designing, developing and implementing administrative systems, procedures and policies;
  • Recruit and recommend to the PCC persons to be employed by the church;
  • Monitor the execution of administrative projects and programmes;
  • Ensures that answers to questions and requests are provided;
  • Maintain supplies inventory;
  • Complete administration/clerical requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative activities and expediting required results;
  • Maintain membership and public confidence and protect the reputation of the Church’s management and operations by keeping information confidential and securing records.            
  • Serve as an advocate for Christian Stewardship to be a way of life for all members of the church;
  • Encourage members to offer their talent, time and treasure in the service of the church
  • Provide assistance and support for the parish organisations to responsibly engage in projects/programmes that would safeguard the integrity of creation, renew and sustain the life of the earth
  • Liaise with the Diocesan Committee on Christian Stewardship  
  • Plan, implement and execute educational programmes for the on-going nourishment of all members;
  • Assist the Rector and PCC in planning and implementing the Annual Parish Meeting, the Annual Parish Convention and the Parish Stewardship Event;
  • Provide a forum for the discussion of matters affecting the church’s mission and ministry;
  • Co-ordinate the work of the core  committees of mission and ministry;
  • Serve to equip members of the church to engage in various areas of the parish’s mission and ministry;  
  • Serve as an advocate to the PCC in support of the various areas of the church’s Mission and Ministry.
The Youth Commission
  • Create a context in which youth can develop educationally, socially, emotionally, physically, spiritually and as responsible citizens;
  • Advise the Rector and Stewardship Committee on the needs of the youth of the parish;
  • Serve as an advocate and promoter of youth ministry in the congregation;
  • Recruit and train persons to serve the teaching ministry of the church;
  • Plan, implement and evaluate youth ministry programmes;
  • Provide support to individuals and organisations which are engaged in ministry to the youth
  • Liaise with the Diocesan Youth Commission and National Associations, so that the youth of the parish can be integrated into the wider Diocesan family and community life;
  • Undertake supervisory responsibility for the Creative Arts Ministry, the Youth Group, Steel Pan Orchestra and the Sunday School        
Liturgy and Worship Committee
  • Assist the Rector in planning services of worship, especially for special occasions
  • Review and revise as necessary the order and system of worship without diminishing its quality;
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of persons for the various ministries of worship;
  • Promote theological reflection among the laity
  • Coordinate the recruitment and orientation of Intercessors and Lectors
  • Give support to all who are engaged in the ministry of worship
  • Promote and preserve order and decency in public worship.
The Pastoral Care and Prayer Group
  • Study the pastoral care needs of the parish and advise the Rector and the Stewardship Committee on the same;
  • Serve as an advocate and promoter of pastoral care in the congregation;
  • Plan, implement and evaluate pastoral care programmes and visitation of shut-ins;
  • Facilitate the recruitment and training of persons to serve as Pastoral Visitors to the elderly, shut-ins, bereaved and sick
  • Promote the habit of Bible study and meditation,
  • Institute pray sessions especially for the sick and needy
  • Attend religious services at the District Hospital, on special occasions
  • Enable relevant organisations in fostering and providing the highest quality of care and service for their members who are elderly, shut-ins, bereaved or sick.  
The Social Improvement/Community Outreach  Committee
  • Serve to raise the level of consciousness of members of the parish family to the needy within the church and community;
  • Respond to the social, physical, material aid and other needs of members and the wider community by providing assistance to members of the Church or community towards the improvement or rehabilitation of their lives; 
  • Keep the parish informed of community needs  and opportunities for service;
  • Facilitate the recruitment of personnel or volunteers for community programmes sponsored by the church;
  • Provide opportunities for the congregation to engage in dialogue about matters relating to the church and the society.        
The Hospitality Committee
The One O’clock Club
  • Foster fellowship within the congregation;
  • Host official guests of the parish;
  • Provide a programme for the assimilation of new members;
  • Provide opportunities for the recognition of the contribution of members to the church;
  • Provide support to individuals and organisations engaged in the ministry of welcome;    
  • Facilitate social interaction among members and opportunities for recreation and fun.  
  • Reach out to children, the disadvantage and less fortunate in society and share with them the treasures possessed by members and associates.         
The Evangelism Committee
  • Advise the Rector and Stewardship Committee on the evangelism needs of the parish;
  • Serve as an advocate and promoter of evangelism in the congregation;
  • Plan, implement and evaluate the evangelism programmes;
  • Facilitate the recruitment of members to be trained as lay evangelists;
  • Provide support to individuals and organisations which are engaged in evangelism;
  • Liaise with the relevant Diocesan Committee on evangelism;
  • Co-ordinate any action to be taken at the parish level.
The Church Army
  • Assist, promote and sustain the evangelistic work of the Church
  • Minister to the sick and incapacitated in and outside of the church
  • Use open-air services to reach particularly the un-churched
  • Offer encouragement to the lapse/inactive members
  • Support the poor spiritually and in any other ways possible  
The Information & Resource Centre Committee
  • Maintain Information & Resource Centre in an orderly, accessible and user friendly manner.
  • Edit and be responsible for all parish publications;
  • Develop and maintain an electronic platform to permit effective information, learning and communication
  • Process orders for books, magazines, audiovisual and training material.
  • Catalog and classify materials and maintain associated databases.
  • Initiate the design, develop and maintain a website as a tool for sharing information
  • Provide information-management support to those who are engaged in the teaching ministry of the church;
  • Prepare status reports on the operations of the Information & Resource Centre
  • Recommend new social media tools, sites, and applications as part of the social media mix for improving internal and external communication      
The Mothers Union
  • Engage in the teaching, baptizing and nurturing of young people (especially girls) in the love, grace and fellowship of God;
  • Uphold the Church’s teaching on the nature of marriage and to promote its wider understanding
  • Encourage parents to bring up their children in the faith and life of the church;
  • Maintain a worldwide fellowship of Christians united in prayer, worship and service;
  • Promote conditions in society which are favourable to stable family life and the upliftment of children;
  • Help those whose family life has met with adversity  
The Men’s Fellowship
  • Engage in efforts to improve relationships among members through social, cultural and religious activities;
  • Engage in the teaching, baptizing and nurturing of young people (especially boys) in the love, grace and fellowship of God;
  • Visit the sick, and assist the poor and needy members of the church with loving care;
  • Seek to transform unjust structures of society;
  • Strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and the sustainability and renewal of the life of the earth;
  • Promote conditions in society which are favourable to stable family life and the upliftment of children;
  • Promote close relationship with the men of other churches and foster relationships with similar men’s organisations within the Diocese and overseas;    
The Church Choir

Through the Ministry of Song:

  • Improve the quality of singing during the worship services;
  • Enrich the lives of members;
  • Enrich the lives of the congregation;  
The Willing Workers for Institutional Care and Community (An extension of Social Improvement/Community Outreach Committee)
  • Serve to raise the level of consciousness of members of the parish family to the needy within the public and private elderly care institutions;
  • Respond to the social, physical, material aid and other needs of residents in adopted institutions; 
  • Keep the parish informed of institutional community needs  and opportunities for service;
  • Facilitate the recruitment of volunteers for institutional community programmes sponsored by the church;
  • Provide opportunities for the congregation to engage in dialogue about matters relating to the church and the society and how their lives are impacted by them.  
The Altar Servers
  • Assist Priest(s) at the Holy Eucharist and Special Occasion services;
  • Promote and preserve order and decency in public worship.
  • Encourage Altar Servers to perform their duties in a conscientious and inspirational manner
  • Foster an environment for frequent attendance at Holy Eucharist and other services;
  • Engage in continuing education and enlightenment about the Church’s roles as Herald, Sacrament, Sustaining Institution, School of Discipleship, Servant and Community.
The Youth Group
  • Promote fellowship among the youth of the parish;
  • Promote interaction between the Church and the homes of our youth;
  • Plan and organize activities, projects and programmes which serve to advance the spiritual, physical, social mental, civic well being of the youth;
  • Cultivate in youth an appreciation of culture, and a creativity by which they express a healthy self-worth, develop and utilize gifts and abilities through positive and wholesome media;
  • Engage the youth in activities designed for them to gain a biblical and theological understanding of Christ, the Church and its mission.        
The Woman’s Auxiliary
  • Foster Christian relationship among members and to other similar organisations of other churches home and abroad; 
  • Deepen spiritual life by prayer and the study of God’s word;
  • Teach the love, Grace and fellowship of God  by their living;
  • Reach out to the sick and needy in the community with loving care;
  • Witness as disciples of Christ, especially to women in society and in seeking to transform unjust structures affectinf them;
  • Assist in the work of maintaining the church plant and its efforts to safeguard the integrity of creation and renew and sustain the life of the earth.  
The Guild of Ushers (Ushers’ Guild)
  • Assist with the smooth and orderly running of the various church services.
  • Foster a culture of fellowship and love among members and visitors attending church;
  • Ensure that members and visitors feel welcome;
  • Identify visitors to the Rector for official welcome;
  • Choose and orientate attendants to collect and present offerings with decorum;
  • Choose and guide attendants to adhere to the communion procession and add value to the worship;
  • Provide any assistance as needed to ensure the efficient and effective administration and governance of the Church.   
The Sunday School
  • Create opportunities for the youth to be informed with a biblical understanding of Christ, and an appreciation of the Church and its mission;
  • Engage the youth through holy scripture and practice modes of Christian living – caring, sharing, and teamwork in a way that fosters values and virtues;
  • Help children to grow in their ability to respond to the word of God in faith and love;
  • Help the youth to understand the faith of the church;
  • Seek to integrate ministry of youth within the wider missionary objective of the Church and extend this focus on ministry beyond the congregation.          
  Health Guild
  • Promote healthy living and healthy lifestyles among members of the congregation through health education and an awareness that our health is our responsibility;
  • Create an awareness of health problems among members of the parish family and help them to cope with them;
  • Provide first aid in the event of sudden illness or health emergency during worship and/or other church activity;
  • Keep in touch with clients who fall ill during worship;
  • Cooperate with all other organisations of the Church to accomplish its objectives;
  • Bring together persons with health related expertise and members of the congregation with a view to fostering a holistic and sustainable approach to health.  
Flower Circle
  • Ensure the beautification and appropriate flower arrangements for church services and decoration of the Church for special occasions.
